The advisory board: the heart of smart capital
With every investment we take a seat on your advisory board. For us that is not a formality. A good advisory board leads to sharper choices, better decision-making and more confidence among customers and follow-on investors. It also forces focus:
What are the three things that really need to happen this quarter?
Ortwin Verreck, founder of Ormac, successfully completed the programme for supervisory board members at Erasmus University. We combine professional oversight with entrepreneurial experience: critical where needed, supportive where possible.
Go-to-market: where we make the difference
Most startups do not get stuck on their technology but on the road to market. Who is your ideal customer, what should it cost, which channel do you sell through, and how do you turn individual deals into a repeatable sales process? We have answered those questions ourselves at companies we successfully built and sold.
We are hands-on where it helps, without taking over the helm. You run your company. We help you make the right decisions faster. The first hundred days are intensive and free of charge; after that comes a fixed rhythm of monthly check-ins and quarterly reviews. We work towards an exit with a horizon of around five years.
More than capital: a network that builds with you
Behind Ormac is a network of more than 80 entrepreneurs, investors and specialists we work with on a structural basis. People who have built, scaled and sold companies themselves.
For each investment we match three to five experts to your biggest growth blockers, with a clear brief and a concrete outcome. We are mentors at Startupbootcamp and help you find the right co-investors, now and in your next rounds.
